The Papamoa Garden Circle was formed in September 74 years ago.
We are a group of friendly gardeners including both men and women with a membership of around 90 people.
At our monthly meetings (February to November) we have a guest speaker, a sales table which includes plants and fertilisers and flower competitions for which points are awarded and totaled for our end of year prize-giving. We also have a Pride of My Garden competition. Our question and answer session allows members to discuss and solve problems in their garden. Our meetings conclude with raffles and a cuppa.
In November we hold our very competitive Rose Show which is judged by a Rose expert. Once a year we have a bus trip out of the district visiting other gardens and places of interest. We also have an end of year garden ramble visiting our own member's gardens.
